This Privacy Policy explains how Orion Studios LLC collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the WutaChat mobile app.
WutaChat is an invite-only community app for member profiles, groups, events, direct messages, comments, RSVPs, notifications, and related community administration.
Information We Collect
- Account and profile information, including your name, email address, user identifier, profile details, avatar, profile photo, account status, and administrator or member role.
- User content you create or share in the app, including messages, group posts, comments, event details, RSVPs, reactions, mentions, links, photos, images, GIFs, and other media attachments.
- Community participation information, including group membership, event participation, connections, notification preferences, muted notification settings, unread state, and related app activity needed to operate the community.
- Device and notification information, including device push tokens, platform, app badge state, delivery status, and notification audit records used to send and troubleshoot push notifications.
- Support, invite, and security information, including invitation records, password reset requests, account activation status, moderation or administrative actions, and communications you send to Orion Studios.
- Optional permission-related information when you choose to use related features, such as photos selected from your library, photos saved to your library, event details added to your calendar, or event location details you choose to attach.
How We Use Information
- To create and manage user accounts, authenticate users, process invitations, reset passwords, and keep member access limited to approved users.
- To operate app features such as profiles, groups, events, direct messages, comments, RSVPs, reactions, mentions, media uploads, and in-app notifications.
- To deliver push notifications, update app badge counts, respect notification preferences, and troubleshoot delivery issues.
- To support community administration, moderation, account deactivation, abuse prevention, security monitoring, and enforcement of app rules or legal obligations.
- To respond to support requests, diagnose app problems, maintain service reliability, and improve app functionality.
Tracking, Ads, and Sale of Data
WutaChat does not sell personal information for money, does not use personal information for third-party advertising, and does not use app data to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
WutaChat does not run third-party ad networks. Data collected through the app is used for app functionality, account administration, security, support, and service operations.
Device Permissions
WutaChat asks for device permissions only when they are needed for features you choose to use. You can manage these permissions in your device settings.
- Photos access may be used to let you choose images for profiles, messages, posts, comments, groups, or events.
- Photo library add access may be used when you choose to save discussion images to your photo library.
- Calendar access may be used when you choose to add a WutaChat event to your calendar.
- Location-related access may be used when you choose to attach event location details.
- Notifications access may be used to send alerts about messages, comments, mentions, events, group updates, and other app activity.
Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide WutaChat, maintain account and community records, support safety and moderation, troubleshoot issues, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
Some content may remain visible to other authorized community members until it is deleted, hidden, removed by an administrator, or no longer needed. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, de-identify it, or securely archive it where practical and appropriate.
Your Choices and Rights
- You can update profile details and notification preferences from inside the app where those controls are available.
- You can disable push notifications through app settings or your device settings.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting contact@orionstudios.dev.
- You can ask an administrator or Orion Studios to review account access, deactivate an account, or remove content when appropriate.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
No app, database, or transmission method is completely secure. Because of that, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children and Policy Updates
WutaChat is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date shown above.
